My project represents a silo’ s life story and explore time, landscape and silo by exhibiting the change of silo and varied environments as layered installations. The project is displayed by a succession of inkjet printer photographs on transparent plastic paper, and they show the sequence of a silo’ life-“constructed – being used- abandoned- being reused”.

Silos are the most obvious single agricultural structure rising above the remainder of most farms in the
past. The earliest American silos were built in 1870th, and they were often described as the skyscrapers of the agricultural landscape. But, as more and more farm stops operating, silos are often left behind. Since it costs a lot to take a silo down, most silos are left and covered in shrubs and brush gradually. And it would be surrounded by residential development. Recently, some silos are reused as house or other purposes. With this process, my project also represents the changes of land use, from wild land -farmland -
vacant land – residential urban area.
